Middle East Oil Refinery (Midor) is located in Amreya Free Zone, Alexandria, Egypt and is owned by Midor, an Egyptian shareholding company. The refinery is being expanded to increase its capacity from the existing 100K barrels per day (bpd) to 160K bpd. The plant is the most advanced refinery in Africa and is being classified as the sixth in the Mediterranean, based on technological complexity; reaching a standard of 11.5, according to Nelson Complexity Index. The refinery’s products include LPG, Premium Gasoline, Gas Oil, Kerosene, Jet Fuel, Coke, and Sulphur. The products from the refinery are exported by means of a pipeline network linked to the Dekheila Port in Alexandria and distributed in the domestic market via another network connected to pipeline networks owned by Alexandria Pipeline Company.
FERBECK INTERNATIONAL SA has been awarded an EP contract for one 63 meter-high-steel stack by Kinetics Technology, Italy.
