Our History

1846
J. Ferbeck & Compagnie was founded in Aachen, Germany. It was one of the pioneers in the construction of industrial chimneys worldwide and operated both in Germany and France.

1900
The expertise of J. Ferbeck & Cie. was renowned throughout Europe and accomplished several projects during the years. A 55-meter-tall brick chimney for a textile company was built in Częstochowa, Poland.

1901
In Belgium, a 125-meter-tall brick chimney was built in Hoboken-Anvers.

1902
In addition to the construction of new chimneys, J. Ferbeck & Cie. mastered the ability to perform maintenance and repair works during the operation of these industrial structures.
1916
Paul Ferbeck and Théophile Vincent, owners of a company with similar synergies, decided to merge to expand their companies' market share and diversify products and services offered. Two companies with unique experience and expertise came together and formed one business called Ferbeck & Vincent, headquartered in Rouen, France.
1918
With new experts joining the company, special refractory bricks application for boilers and furnaces had been added to the expertise of Ferbeck & Vincent.

1930
Ferbeck & Vincent established the headquarters in Paris and opened several agencies in Rouen, Nancy, Toulouse, Marseille and Roubaix. The business was expanded to include reinforced concrete chimneys and refractory installation in plants for incineration of industrial waste.
1938
A workshop located in Rouen was acquired for in-house steel carpentry and boiler activities.

1945
During World War II, its activities were stopped and slowly restarted only at the end of 1945. Ferbeck & Vincent created a wide network of agencies in the regions of Paris and Lyon, aiming to become the market leader in France.

1965
The headquarters of Ferbeck & Vincent moved to Vélizy and a new workshop was acquired in Gaillon.

1988
Ferbeck & Vincent, along with other companies having industrial technologies and know-how joined a group specialized in thermal engineering.
1994
Ferbeck & Vincent joined the division of a company involved in underground pipelines, scaffolding and industrial piping, and assembly of industrial installation works.

2004
Ferbeck & Vincent was acquired by Lizmontagens, a Portuguese company with extensive experience in refractory linings, furnace construction, materials procurement and industrial chimneys construction and maintenance. The holding group Lizmontagens Thermal Technologies was later formalized in 2013, to consolidate its numerous subsidiaries and strengthen its presence in industrial sectors.

2010
The company restructured its activities into two new entities: Ferbeck & Fumitherm (refractories) and Ferbeck Industrial Chimneys, primarily serving the French market.

2017
To meet the growing demand from worldwide clients and projects, FINT was incorporated, building upon Ferbeck’s rich legacy of over 750 completed chimneys and more than 3,000 customers served in design, maintenance and construction.
2020
FINT strengthened its concrete chimneys business by winning the following contracts: Patuakhali (220m high); Matarbari (275m high); Chittagong (275m high), as well as flue gas desulfurizers and concrete silos.
2024
FINT completed major projects, including chimneys for Chittagong power plant in Bangladesh and Jawa 9&10 in
Indonesia. It also delivered steel stacks in Egypt, The Netherlands, Indonesia and Mexico.
Additionally, FINT had ongoing steel stack projects in Algeria, Egypt and others, along with a prilling tower project in Indonesia.
