The TNB Janamanjung power plant, owned by TNB Janamanjung Sdn Bhd, stands as a significant addition to Malaysia’s energy infrastructure. Completed in 2014, this 1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant in Manjung, Perak State, was constructed by Mudajaya Corporation. The project featured a unique chimney design transitioning from a conical base to a cylindrical top, standing at a height of 200 meters. The chimney’s outer diameter measured 20.1 meters at the base, tapering to 15.1 meters at the top. It included a single carbon steel liner with borosilicate protection.
