The Patuakhali power plant is a major development in the Patuakhali district of Bangladesh, covering 500 acres in Kalapara. It features a 2x660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power station developed by RPCL-Norinco Intl Power (RNPL), a joint venture between Bangladesh’s RPCL and China’s Norinco International. The construction, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and testing are managed by Tianjin Electric Power Construction (TEPC), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group. FERBECK INTERNATIONAL SA was awarded the EPC contract for a 220-meter high concrete chimney.
