Estonia 2014

The Auvere circulating fluidized bed power plant, situated adjacent to the Eesti Elektrijaam in Estonia, represents a significant advancement in the country’s energy infrastructure. Completed in 2014, this power plant, owned by Eesti Energia and constructed by ALSTOM, features two units, each generating 300 MW of power. The plant operates on Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler technology, utilizing local oil shale as its primary fuel source. The project underscores Estonia’s commitment to sustainable energy production and self-sufficiency in power generation.
